• A standard deck of 54 cards (52 playing cards + 2 jokers) is placed face-down on a board, each sealed in an envelope hidden behind a numbered position (1–54).

• Participants purchase raffle tickets for $5 each, select a number from the board, and that number is printed on their ticket stub.

• Each Tuesday at 7:00pm, one ticket is drawn. The corresponding card number is turned over on the board, revealing the card beneath, and the result is announced live at Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets store locations — where every reveal brings the chance for one of the following outcomes: 

  • Queen of Hearts: The winner takes the grand jackpot.

    • If the winner is not present at a participating Caputo’s store at the time of the drawing, they receive 50% of the pot after startup costs.

    • If the winner is present at a participating Caputo’s store at the time of the drawing, they receive 60% of the total pot after startup costs.

    • If the winner is present and wishes to claim the additional 10% bonus, they must contact the front-end manager within 5 minutes of the drawing. Failure to do so forfeits the bonus.

  • Joker Drawn: The participant wins $100, and the game continues.

  • Second Joker Drawn (before the Queen): The game resets with a new board.

  • Any Other Card: No major prize is awarded, but the card is removed from the board, increasing the odds in future weeks.

  • All results are posted online and sent directly to each raffle participant’s registered email address.

Payout Example

• 50%  of the total pot, after startup costs, goes to the Queen of Hearts winner.

• 50% of the total pot, after startup costs, is retained by the sponsoring organization to directly support charitable initiatives, allocated approximately as follows:

  • Local Business Support: ~5% reinvested within the host community

  • Coats for Kids: $12,500–$25,000 dedicated to providing winter outerwear for children in need

  • Project22Nine Programs: All remaining funds strengthen core efforts such as The Bucket Brigade (meal distribution) and Share a Bowl (shelf-stable meal support)
